Basalt Infrastructure Partners Completes Sale of Manx Telecom

Basalt Infrastructure Partners LLP (“Basalt”) announces today that Funds advised by Basalt have closed the sale of 100% of Manx Telecom, the incumbent telecommunications provider on the Isle of Man, to a consortium comprised of CVC DIF and Jersey Telecom.

Under Basalt’s ownership since May 2019, Manx Telecom has delivered on a number of strategic initiatives, including:

• Winning the government tender in 2020 to be the provider of choice to lay fibre to the premises across the Isle of Man (IoM). As at March 2026, Manx Telecom has passed over 97% of premises on the IoM, achieving a penetration rate of 61%;
• Delivering the successful roll out across the island on time and in budget, providing high quality connectivity to homes and businesses;
• Strategically growing OV, Manx Telecom’s internet of things business. In January 2023, Basalt appointed a new focused management team in OV who successfully grew EBITDA by 67% in two years.
